Used by God as a test, but not to test the "righteousness of the law", to test something more deep and invisible : to test until where the "Christians" will resist before to give in to the temptation to get the physical kingdom of this world (Luke 4:6) in order to have the power of this world and avoid to face anymore any other test from God.
The American Christian doesn't want to face poverty and emarginalization, freak people and outcasts, immigration and many other "liberal" issues - because he doesn't want to be tested by God. This is why US Christians are asking God for a theocracy. God will give it to them, like God gave a king to backslidden, apostate Israel (no, not the Northern tribes, it is in 1 Samauel...).
