Abortion, LGBTQ, are the fronts of the Catholic infiltration in not Catholic Christian churches. Especially the anti-Abortion front. The Catholic church doesn't believe a child who dies goes in heaven, therefore the extreme importance to the anti-abortion stance when Catholicism is confronting not-Catholics as happens in the states. The Catholic anti-abortion ideology is an implicit jaccuse against the Baptists, who are blamed to help abortions because, believing that a child is saved without any kind of baptism, they are in this way allowing abortions with the excuse that the foetus doesn't need infant baptism to go to heaven, and therefore doesn't need to be born in order to be saved.
From here it descend that also the capital punishment is a no-no for the same anti-Baptist front. A man must be kept alive as long is possible, in order he could get the required amount of "good works" necessary to be weighed in the divine balances against his "bad works" in a successful way. Once Saved Always Saved (OSAS) is an horror in the eyes of the Catholic priests.
(But also the opposite. Ever been in a Catholic funeral, where the diacon or priest absolve in the speech the dead of any kind of sin calling him "dear brother" or "dear sister"?)

Exactly the case. And when Trump supporters organize a riot even though a conservative candidate had won, all evangelicals that are deemed too radical and extreme (i.e. that would not even compromise with conservative catholics) will be at the short end of the deal, so to speak. Thats why politics is always a bad idea. They will have you exactly where they want you.

D'you know that the among the first group of laws of US Congress (200 and more years ago) there was a law to forbid any law where Catholicism is labelled a "Christian religion"? That America is r.i.p. since at least 100 years.

DeSantis is now the lifeboat for all cowardly (and by default ecumenical) evangelicals, but it is funny how his name reverberates Satan, just like Santa from the ecumenical Christ-mas does. DeleteThe latest revival was by Billy Graham. But as to depict the already ongoing apostasy, he himself became more & more an apostate. In the 40s he prayed God to let him understand the Bible, the AV 1611, believing the Bible IS the truth. In the 70s or early 80s he was advertising the Living Bible as "very good", a Bible where one can find the truth. From to *equiparate* the Bible with the truth, and therefore compelled to sort out ONLY ONE Bible, he apostasized to the neo-orthodox position, where the Bible only "contains" the truth (just find it out; and if you don't find all the truth in it, or you don't like it, buy another version, if not the RSV maybe the NRS... You know, God is a funny character, He dispersed the truth in 200 bible-translation, to find it out is a game, like "games without Frontiers", that game broadcasted in Eurovision)
DeleteMy Pastor, former Marine, a country boy, told me that the church where he lived the pastor was telling people sermons with "fables of aesop"-like allegories. He and others told me that in the last 40 years it happened the most dramatic changes in the US.... That today'US is completely different than the US until the 70s (biblically speaking, and, of course, in worse and worse).

I am very happy that you are solid on the Bible issues as this is the real point of contention with the Devil - if he succeeds in this, he will succeed in throwing us into every barrel of slime. Apostasy from the word of God is he cause of all woes in this so called church world. The cascade of formalism>indifference>entertainment>mockery is obvious when we look at the evangelical climate in the USA. Still, my experience too shows that there are some faithful and reasonable brethren who are taking separation and biblical standards seriously, and we need to pray for such.

The methods never change. Pentecostalism and charismatic doctrine is the biggest plague in Africa right now. But I'm more concerned about my country which is fiercely atheistical and I am abused and threatened by communists and wicked chasers after money every day. Not to mention how indifferent most christians have been towards the gospel and any work Im trying to do here. I'm beginning to think the Lord is calling me elsewhere. My nation seems to be cursed 1000 years of no real gospel preaching after the bright day of the bogomils.
