I have seen and read and heard thousands of times that "....the Devil is interested in to make people to believe that he doesn't exist", but this is false (to my humble opinion).

It doesn't matter if you believe or not that a being called "Devil" exists. What matters is your idea about that character. Atheists of course are also A-devilists, i.e. don't believe the Devil is a real person. But who cares? Many don't believe that Darth Vader exists for real but have a precise idea of his psychological character, purposes, affinities, etc.:

No matter how much a preacher is preaching sounding right doctrine, you'll always find some dark spots in his teaching. Very very little spots, I agree. But they are very efficiently concealed by the overwhelming noise and light of the sounding doctrine.

In those small, tiny, negligible points the Devil fabricates his doppel-ganger. A cartoonish devil rather than a true identity based on the God's words.

The other Devil, the fake Devil taught by the 'conservative' churches is one whose ultimate final purpose is to do always, only and exactly the opposite of what God wants, command and is pleased in.

The Devil is theologically described as a capricious, spoiled, contrary kid. But this is not the real Devil.

The Devil's goals are spiritual, not physical. He's a spiritual being and he's not interested in to change the sexual identity of the people, their sexual inclination or gender for the sake of the matter itself, or just to have pleasure in to make God angry.

The Devil is interested in the things of this word only because they can be used (they are instrumental) to achieve his spiritual purpose.

Therefore the key concept is this:

The things of this world, good or evil, are INSTRUMENTAL to the ultimate purpose of the Devil, not a goal, a purpose, a finality in themselves

They are using a lot the Bible to Catholicize their government. A government is God's will and you have not to dare to question it or you are guilty of questioning God's will. This is called "realism", a word coming from "re" or in its Latin original source, "rex" aka KING.

The best way for the Devil to have a king is to push people to ask God for one:

Conclusion: the Devil wants you to identify him with his instruments, with his means (wars, peace, homosexuality, heterosexuality, fornication, abortion, etc.). In thinking the Devil is what he uses, you'll never think the Devil is what he wants.

And fighting the means he uses to achieve his goals, without to know that those are means and how are used to achieve his ultimate purpose, is only an help him.

The Devil uses LGBTQ and other existential threats in order to push Christians to ask for a deliverer king. Remember, the Devil is not interested in the LGBTQ itself, which, in his eyes, is the same as heterosexuality. The Devil is interested in the war that LGBTQ in society cause.
